NaPoWriMo Day 18

Today's quote: "The poet doesn't invent. He listens." ~Jean Cocteau

Today's prompt: Cat(s)!

Today's poem:

Le Chat Noir

Bean is pure black,
Green eyes gleaming,
Her calcuated gaze can strip you bear.

What secrets is she hiding?
Witches familiar? Demon in disguise?
Or is she just
A simple, loving, house-cat?

  1. Sweet! We assign so much so the cat's mysterious eyes, don't we? They're simply beautiful, perhaps knowing, eyes, and the cat is simply there to be loved. Nicely penned!
